PUTTING THE PIECES TOGETHER to empower children, youth, families, communities and strengthen organizations responses.
Welcome
The Bridge Foundation was established in 2010 and is a registered, non-governmental organization with roots both in the international and Caribbean communities.
The Foundation recognizes the assets, resources, and experiences of local and global communities and bridges the best of both communities to influence and strengthen community and institutional responses to positively impact the outcomes of children, youth, and their families.
Our current agenda builds upon the success, and key learnings of our previous work – Early Building Blocks.
Replication of Model Literacy Program
The Foundation offers replication training and workshops for an evidenced-based literacy program - Read to Rise (R2R). R2R was implemented for over five years in Trinidad and Tobago rural communities.
R2R is an innovative, culturally-competent collaborative literacy model which increases the availability of books for students and families, excites students’ interest in reading & broadens their imagination, knowledge and vision of themselves as readers, learners and thinkers.
Capacity Building for Start Up NGO’s
We have reintroduced Tools Skills Building Initiative (TSBI) workshops as part of capacity building trainings for start up non-governmental organizations. Trainings will also be conducted by BRIDGE PARTNERS & ASSOCIATES (BPA) consultants and resource experts.
Special Focus on Youth & Young Adults through Mentorship
BridgeMentor360 is a comprehensive approach to mentoring designed for organizations engaged in youth mentoring, and for young adults seeking mentorship opportunities to support their personal and professional development.
Knowledge Building and Facilitation
Bridge Foundation facilitates knowledge building through experienced-focused events, knowledge fairs and forums aimed to promote innovation, partnerships and action to achieve all United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) with a special focus on environmental preservation and protection.
“With the support from Bridge Foundation, we have been able to better serve our children’s literacy needs.”
— Rozena Maharaj, School Principal
